Hi boys and girls, and their parents. I’m excited to start this 10 Tip Children Photography special. Every week I’ll try to post a quick tip for parents who wish to take better photographs of their bundles of joy. Subscribe to my blog to get automatic update or check with us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/StanleyNovPhotography
Tip 1:
Get down to their level !!!
a. Position your camera at the baby’s eye level to capture the essence of those magnetic gazes and mesmerizing smiles.
b. To get the best photos you may have to lie down on the floor to take the picture but it’s worth it.
c. Your models don’t have to look directly into the camera; the eye level angle by itself will create a personal and inviting feeling

I’ve been asked many times what type of equipment I use and my preferred answer is that isn’t the lens that counts but the photographer, however, professional grade cameras and lenses helps a lot. Here’s what photo equipment I usually bring to client photo sessions.
- Cameras
- Flashes
- Lenses
- Batteries, Cables, Chargers, Card Reader, External HD for backups ….

What equipment do you use? What are you favorite lenses and why?

This has been a great weekend for me. I’ve met two wonderful families and helped them capture memories of joy of their children being playful, happy and beautiful as all kids are.
Here are some of the photographs I took of a Japanese baby named Tsubasa at his home and in Central Park
Yours,
Stanley Nov
