When booking a session, it is important to consider both location and wardrobe, as these will greatly contribute to the end result. We shoot in a variety of locations in and around New York. You should choose your location(s) based on the feel you would like your finished images to convey. When selecting the clothing your family will wear, keep in mind the unique personality of your family as a whole. We photograph families with a broad variety of tastes and styles, so you are encouraged to choose outfits that best represent you. Outfits do not need to match, but do choose complementing colors and patterns. 

 

The age of your young child is another important thing to consider before booking a session. It is recommended that maternity sessions be shot between 28 and 34 weeks, and newborn photos be taken within the first two weeks after birth in order to capture the snuggly freshness of the first days of baby's life. After this, clients typically schedule sessions when baby is able to first sit unassisted (6-8 months), baby's first birthday, and then yearly.
